Orfali Bros has been promoted from one Michelin star to two in the fifth Michelin Guide Dubai, revealed on 6 October 2026 at Atlantis The Royal. Birch and Kigo each picked up a first star. FZN by Björn Frantzén and Trèsind Studio held on to three stars apiece.
This year's selection covers 122 restaurants and 38 cuisines, up from 119 a year earlier. Twenty venues hold stars: two with three, four with two and 14 with one. The other two-star venues are STAY by Yannick Alléno, Il Ristorante Niko Romito and Row on 45. Brothers Mohammad, Wassim and Omar Orfali run Orfali Bros, cooking modern Middle Eastern food. Birch is led by chef Arslan Berdiev, and Kigo serves Japanese omakase and kaiseki menus.
The Bib Gourmand list, which flags good cooking at moderate prices, now has 22 names. The four newcomers are Middle Child, S.E.A. Bistrot, Three Bros and YUBI Dubai. Another 80 restaurants are Michelin Selected, 13 of them new, bringing total new entries to 19. Window, run by Gonzalo Platero in Alserkal, took Opening of the Year.
Four one-star restaurants kept their rating while temporarily closed: Ossiano, Smoked Room, Al Muntaha and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. The National linked the closures to softer demand and disruption to tourism after the Iran war. Michelin told the paper it is tracking when these venues reopen and will assess them again once they do.
