Atlantis Dubai to expand Plato's Lounge and refurbish Ossiano

Atlantis Dubai announced a round of dining, pool and retail upgrades at Atlantis The Palm and Atlantis The Royal in September 2026. An enlarged Plato's Lounge at Atlantis The Palm is due to open in October 2026.

The lounge is moving into part of the main lobby. It will have more than twice as many seats, a terrace balcony facing the skyline, an accessible ramp and a cascading water feature. Ossiano, which holds one Michelin star, is getting a full makeover of its dining room while keeping its existing menu concept. The reports give no date for that work.

At Aquaventure World, Poseidon's Village replaces Barracudas and becomes the park's largest indoor restaurant, seating almost 400 inside and almost 300 outdoors. Guests will order through self-service kiosks or from their sunbeds. The menu will run from oven-baked pizza, burgers and hot dogs to bowls, vegan dishes and a revised kids' menu. The River Rapids ride is being refurbished and resurfaced.

Atlantis The Royal is adding The Garden Bar, an outdoor venue set in landscaped grounds. At Cloud 22, Lotus Bar moves to the other side of the deck to make room for about 40 extra sunbeds. The Royal Pool gains a family pool with about 60 sunbeds and three air-conditioned cabanas. Chloé and Brunello Cucinelli have joined the shops at Atlantis The Royal, Zimmermann is next there, and LEGO has opened at Atlantis The Palm.

Kym Barter, managing director of Atlantis Dubai, said the resort takes pride in its "continuous evolution".
