Jumeirah Burj Al Arab is expected to welcome guests again in October 2027, according to Visit Dubai, the city's official tourism site. No exact day has been set. Earlier guidance spoke only of late 2027.
Jumeirah announced the restoration in April 2026 and closed the hotel for a programme of around 18 months. It is the first major restoration since Burj Al Arab opened in 1999. According to RusTourismNews, the work covers the suites, restaurants and leisure spaces; the hotel has 198 suites. The same outlet reported that the sail-shaped exterior will stay as it is, and that Jumeirah describes the project as conservation rather than a full redesign.
French interior architect Tristan Auer is in charge of the interiors. He set up his Paris studio in 2002, and his past work includes Hôtel de Crillon. Jumeirah chief executive Thomas B. Meier said the project opens "a new chapter" for the property.
RusTourismNews places the project in a wider wave of upgrades at Dubai luxury hotels in 2026, naming St. Regis Dubai The Palm, Park Hyatt Dubai and Armani Hotel Dubai among properties going through major changes.
If you hoped to stay at Burj Al Arab before autumn 2027, you will need another hotel. Options are listed in the DoBy hotel catalogue.
Gulf News reported the reopening month, which RusTourismNews also cited from Visit Dubai.
