Gymkhana, the Indian restaurant from London's Mayfair, opened its Dubai branch on 1 September 2026 at Gate Village, Building 7, in DIFC. It is the brand's first site in the UAE and its fourth overall, run by JKS Restaurants.
The London original opened in 2013, won a Michelin star within nine months and added a second in 2024. In Dubai the dining room seats 137 across two floors, with a terrace outside. A private room takes 14 seated or 30 standing.
The cooking is mainly North Indian, plus dishes from southern and western India. Menu sections cover curries and biryanis, kebabs and tikkas, game and chops, chaat-style small plates, vegetables and desserts. According to tbreak, the tasting menu is AED 695 a head, the vegetarian version AED 595 and wine pairing AED 650. On the main menu, aloo chaat is AED 85, Wagyu beef cheek vindaloo AED 255 and tandoori lamb chops AED 365.
Curly Tales lists opening hours of 6.30pm to 1am. Tables are booked through SevenRooms, and when nothing shows online the restaurant asks guests to phone. Private events are handled through its website.
If you want a table in the first weeks, book early: there was no online availability on opening day. More Dubai restaurants are listed in the DoBy catalogue.
tbreak reported the opening, and Curly Tales covered the interior and opening hours.
