Tesla is now taking Roadster reservations from UAE customers. The new model appears in the Vehicles section of the company's UAE website, and the totals range from Dh210,000 to Dh1.02 million. Tesla has not given a delivery date.
Two versions can be booked online. The Performance version is billed as road ready. It seats two and has active aerodynamics plus a suction system that helps grip and handling. Buyers first pay Dh20,000, which Tesla describes as fully refundable, then Dh190,000 within 10 days. The total is Dh210,000.
The Thrust version is billed as race ready. It adds thrusters that Tesla says cover 0 to 100kmph in under a second. The first payment is again Dh20,000, followed by Dh1 million within 10 days, Dh1.02 million in all. Each customer may make one reservation.
A third version, the Rocket, is a single-seater that Tesla calls air ready. Thrusters placed around the body are meant to lift it, push it forward and turn it sideways in flight. It is marked Invite Only and carries no listed amount. Tesla says it is not approved for public roads and that availability depends on local rules.
These sums are deposits, not final prices. Under the Roadster Reservation Agreement, Tesla is still developing the options, features and hardware, so the price is unconfirmed. It will be fixed once buyers configure their cars. If the purchase goes ahead, the whole reservation payment is subtracted from that price.
A reservation counts only after Tesla has received the full amount, including the part due within 10 days, and confirmed by email. It is not an order. It gives an approximate place in the queue, and the purchase is completed closer to production.
The agreement states that "No delivery date is offered, implied or guaranteed," and Tesla accepts no liability for delays. Elon Musk has said production of the redesigned car starts in 2028.
For UAE buyers, only the first Dh20,000 is marked refundable, and the balance falls due within 10 days with no delivery date attached. Other high-performance models are in the luxury and sports car listings.
Khaleej Times reported the details, and Gulf News carried the same figures.
