Parkin, Dubai's largest paid public parking operator, began running the car parks at Rashid Hospital on 21 September 2026. Rashid Hospital comes first under a deal with Dubai Health that will eventually bring the same smart parking system to all Dubai Health sites in the emirate. No other hospitals or dates have been named yet.

Patients keep free parking for their whole visit. That covers emergency care, consultations, lab tests, walk-in appointments and ongoing treatment. Visitors get up to three free hours once a day, provided they give the patient's details at reception. Two companions of an admitted patient can park free for up to 24 hours, with extensions on request. Free valet parking is offered to pregnant women, senior citizens and people of determination once their eligibility is checked.

Drivers who are not visiting the hospital pay standard fees, with a daily 30-minute grace period for drop-offs and pick-ups. Valet, car washing and electric vehicle charging are available on site.

According to The National, Parkin now manages 268,300 paid spaces across Dubai, 27% more than a year earlier. Osama Alsafi, Parkin's chief operating officer, said the aim was to ease congestion and make arriving at the hospital simpler.

If you are visiting someone at Rashid Hospital, register at reception as soon as you arrive. The three free hours depend on it, and an unregistered car is charged.

Dubai Health announced the change, and The National reported further details.
