EV World 2026, the first edition of Dubai's international show and conference on electric vehicles, will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre from 10 to 12 November 2026. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is organising it under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai. The Government of Dubai Media Office announced the event on 4 October.
Organisers expect more than 300 companies, authorities and organisations from the UAE and abroad, upwards of 30 business partners, 70 speakers and more than 10,000 visitors and industry specialists. The agenda covers how EVs are built and operated, battery management, hydrogen fuel cells, fast-charging stations and smart infrastructure. Drones, autonomous systems and AI-based digital tools are also on the list.
The RTA used the announcement to update figures on its own fleet. Hybrids now make up more than 72% of Dubai's taxi and limousine fleet and electric cars 19%, ahead of the target set for 2026. The authority aims to move all taxis and limousines to electric and hydrogen power by 2040 and to reach zero-emission public transport by 2050. Conventional buses are being replaced with electric ones, bus stations are getting renewable energy systems, and abras on Dubai Creek and the Dubai Water Canal are switching to electric and hydrogen propulsion.
Mattar Al Tayer, the RTA's director general, described the event as a meeting point for companies, investors, developers and decision-makers. Ahead of the show, the RTA signed a cooperation agreement with China EV100 to bring more Chinese exhibitors to Dubai.
The announcement does not give ticket prices or registration details.
The Dubai Media Office published the announcement, and Emirates 24|7 carried a shorter report.
