Dubai Municipality has started taking registrations for the next season of Souk Al Freej, its community market. The fifth edition has 50 stalls, free of charge, for local entrepreneurs, small traders and productive families. The market runs from 11 December 2026 to 17 January 2027 and moves between three public parks. Applicants register on the Dubai Municipality website.
The first location is Nad Al Sheba Rose Garden, from 11 to 20 December 2026. The market then shifts to Al Barsha Pond Park, from 25 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. The final stop is Al Warqa Park, from 8 to 17 January 2027. Doors are open daily from 4.30pm to 10pm.
Ten of the 50 stalls are reserved for supporting activities, such as food and beverage services. Traders can offer home-cooked food, crafts, clothing and accessories, and sustainable goods, and deal with shoppers face to face.
The programme adds several features this season. An Asian Village Experience brings Asian-inspired decor, food and cultural activities. A zone aimed at Gen Z, play areas for children that are free to use, and creative workshops are also planned. Visitors can ride a zipline and follow a treasure hunt that takes them around the market and past participating stalls.
Mohammed Abdulrahman Ahli, who heads the municipality's Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department, said the market gives small businesses an organised and accessible way to reach customers. According to the municipality, the fourth edition drew 308,842 visitors.
For residents, the market offers a winter outing in public parks with family activities and local products. Those who want to live near the first venue can look at rental options in Nad Al Sheba.
Khaleej Times reported the details, and WAM carried the municipality's announcement.
