Dubai's T100 Triathlon now includes a men's professional race. The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) confirmed the addition on 6 November. Men and women will compete on the Al Mamzar course on Saturday 14 November. The men set off at 10:03, five minutes before the women, and the PTO will broadcast both races live worldwide.

The move follows this week's decision to reschedule the Saudi Arabia T100 in Jeddah. That event was due to stage the men's race on 27 November and is now set for 16 and 17 April 2027. Apart from the World Championship Final in Qatar in December, Dubai is the only stop on this year's T100 World Tour with both professional races. For both fields it is the last ordinary race of the season before the world titles are settled.

Hayden Wilde, the reigning T100 World Champion, leads the Race to Qatar standings and will race. Jake Birtwhistle of Australia and Lasse Nygaard Priester of Germany sit second and third in the standings. Mika Noodt, who finished on the Dubai podium last year, returns, and Kyle Smith is also on the start list. Wilde also plans to take part in the World Triathlon Championship Series Abu Dhabi Sprint distance race on the Friday afternoon, less than 24 hours earlier.

PTO CEO Sam Renouf thanked Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism and the Dubai Sports Council for arranging the change at short notice. He said the men needed a fourth race ahead of the World Championship Final.

The triathlon weekend at Al Mamzar covers 13 to 15 November. It is part of the 10th Dubai Fitness Challenge and is described as one of the challenge's flagship international sporting events. Amateurs can enter Sprint, Olympic and T100 distances, as well as Sprint and Olympic relays.

Visitors in Dubai that weekend can watch the professional races on 14 November as part of the event programme. WAM reported the details.
