Indian visitors can pay with UPI for At the Top, Burj Khalifa tickets online

Visitors from India can now pay through UPI, the country's Unified Payments Interface, when buying At the Top, Burj Khalifa tickets online, India's Ministry of Finance said on Friday, 30 October. The ministry describes At the Top as the first UAE attraction to accept UPI for online bookings. The same option now covers Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore.

The service was arranged by NIPL, the overseas arm of India's National Payments Corporation. In the UAE, NIPL works with the payment provider NEOPAY and Emaar Entertainment. It announced the UAE partnership on 29 July 2026.

In Singapore, NIPL teamed up with the payment institution FOMO Pay. UPI payments there apply to Resorts World Sentosa, which includes Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark. That partnership was announced on 9 September.

The ministry says the aim is to let Indian visitors use a payment system they know, rather than deal with other methods or currency conversion. It says the move answers demand for trusted cross-border payment options.

The ministry says UPI works in 10 countries at present, among them the UAE, Singapore, France, Mauritius, Nepal, Bhutan, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Greece. Uzbekistan is expected to become the 11th after a commercial agreement announced on 30 August. France was the first country to get UPI payment for attraction tickets, with Eiffel Tower bookings enabled on 26 January 2024.

For Indian visitors planning a Dubai trip, tickets for the Burj Khalifa observation decks can be paid for online through their usual UPI app. Other Dubai tours and activities are not mentioned in the announcement.
