Singapore Airlines (SIA) will not fly to or from Dubai until 28 February 2027. The carrier gave the regional geopolitical situation as the reason in an advisory issued on 30 October.
Two services are affected: SQ494, which departs Singapore for Dubai, and the return flight SQ495. According to The National, flights on the route had been due to restart on 2 August before the suspension was extended.
SIA said the situation remains fluid and other flights may also be affected. It asked passengers to check the Flight Status page on its website for current information.
Ticket holders on the cancelled flights can get a full refund for any part of the ticket they have not used. Those who bought directly from SIA can apply through the airline's online Assistance Request Form. Passengers who booked through a travel agent or a partner airline should go to that agent or airline. SIA also encouraged customers to keep their contact details current under Manage Booking, or to sign up for mobile notifications.
Other carriers have also extended their Dubai suspensions, The National reported. Air Canada has paused Dubai flights until the end of March 2027 and KLM until 27 March. Cathay's suspension runs to 31 January 2027, and Lufthansa Group airlines have suspended Dubai flights until 25 November. British Airways plans to resume Dubai flights on 3 November.
Travellers booked on SIA between Singapore and Dubai will need to rebook with another carrier or claim a refund. Anyone else flying to Dubai can check the status of their own airline before travelling.
Gulf News reported the suspension.
