Etihad Rail announced on 1 October 2026 that Parkin will manage the car park at its Dubai station, Al Yalayis, while Q Mobility takes the stations in Abu Dhabi, Al Dhaid and Fujairah. The National reported the three-way partnership, which covers the first four passenger stations.
Drivers need no ticket and no booking. The system detects each car automatically on entry and exit, and the charge depends on how long it stays and, at some stations, what time it arrives. Payment is digital.
At Al Yalayis the first 15 minutes are free, then parking costs Dh5 an hour. Five hours or more is a flat Dh30, and overnight parking between 1am and 5am costs Dh40. Mohamed bin Zayed City station in Abu Dhabi also offers 15 free minutes and Dh5 an hour. In Fujairah the first hour is Dh5 and up to 24 hours is Dh10. Parking at Al Dhaid is free for now.
Khaleej Times noted that Al Yalayis and Al Dhaid opened on 30 September. Etihad Rail advises passengers to leave enough time to park before their train. Parkin chief executive Mohamed Al Ali said running the Dubai site brings the company's digital parking tools into the national rail network.
The station is also getting easier to reach without a car. Gulf News reported on 14 October that a pedestrian bridge of about 400 metres linking Al Yalayis with the Red Line's Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station opens on Thursday, 15 October. The train ride to Abu Dhabi takes about an hour, with Comfort Class fares from Dh39.
For a day trip to Abu Dhabi with the car left at the station, a stay of five hours or more costs Dh30 in parking.
