Parkin introduces paid parking in Al Furjan, Dubai, under zone 591P

Motorists in Al Furjan, Dubai, now have to pay for parking after Parkin began operating its services in the community. Parkin says the area falls under parking zone 591P.

Drivers can choose a flexible subscription lasting from one to 12 months. Prices are:

• one month: Dh672
• three months: Dh1,999
• six months: Dh3,999
• 12 months: Dh4,999

For residents and visitors in Al Furjan, parking in the zone is no longer free. Anyone who leaves a car in the area regularly can compare the subscription tiers with the cost of paying for each stay.

Parkin has also extended its presence elsewhere in Dubai. In October it renewed its deal with Dubai Multi Commodities Centre for a further decade, so it keeps running paid parking in Jumeirah Lakes Towers. Under that deal Parkin has sole responsibility for managing and operating about 2,800 paid spaces, including 250 reserved for motorcycles. The company will also install solar power infrastructure there, it said.
