Jake Paul will fight former kickboxing world champion Cédric Doumbé at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Thursday 24 December. Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced the bout, which will be Paul's first professional boxing appearance in the city.
The fight is scheduled for eight rounds in the cruiserweight division at 200lbs, with both boxers in 10-ounce gloves. Paul's professional boxing record is 12 wins and two defeats. Doumbé, born in Cameroon and raised in France, holds a 1-0 professional boxing record.
Tickets and press events
A presale for registered fans opens on Saturday 14 November. Buyers of tickets for PFL Dubai get earlier access through an exclusive presale on Friday 6 November. General sale starts on Sunday 15 November at 12pm UAE time.
Paul and Doumbé will meet at two press conferences. The first is in Paris on 10 November, the second at Dubai Opera House on 12 November. Both are free for the public to attend.
Organisers
MVP is staging the event in partnership with two Dubai bodies: the Dubai Sports Council and the emirate's economy and tourism department. Khalfan Belhoul, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, said the collaboration aims to deliver "an event that captures global attention".
For visitors planning to attend, the fight falls on a holiday evening, so hotels and transport are worth arranging ahead of ticket sales opening.
Gulf News reported the announcement on 2 November.
