Dubai Ride 2026 takes place on Sunday, 1 November, with road closures on Sheikh Zayed Road and in Downtown Dubai, time-based Salik tolls and earlier Metro service. New speed limits also apply on five Dubai roads from the same day, Gulf News reported.

Dubai Ride

Riders choose between a 12km route on Sheikh Zayed Road and a shorter 4km family loop in Downtown. Entry costs nothing, but riders must register. The RTA's official channels carry closure details and diversions.

Salik tolls on Sunday depend on the hour. Dh6 applies from 6am to 10am and from 4pm to 8pm. Dh4 applies from 10am to 4pm and from 8pm to 1am. VAT of 5 per cent is added to every toll transaction.

The RTA has set Metro services to start at 3am on 1 November. A return journey costs Dh30, the RTA says, and passengers are told to check their nol Card balance first.

Parking differs by starting gate:

  • Gate A (Museum of the Future): the car park at Dubai World Trade Centre.
  • Gate B (Al Satwa) and Gate D (Business Bay): no parking set aside, riders are urged to cycle.
  • Gate C (Coca-Cola Arena): RTA parking close by.
  • Gates E and F (Lower Financial Centre Street and Dubai Mall): Dubai Mall Cinema and Fashion parking.

Parkin and Parkonic sites are another option. Spaces depend on availability and operator terms.

Speed limits and other closures

From 1 November, three Dubai roads get higher limits and two get lower ones. On Latifa bint Hamdan Street the limit rises from 60km/h to 70km/h. On Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah Street it falls from 80km/h to 70km/h. The RTA confirmed that signage and speed cameras will be updated.

Overnight closures of four hours are planned on Emirates Road (E611) from Dubai towards Sharjah, linked to Etihad Rail works.

In Abu Dhabi, the E22 road to Al Ain, towards Abu Dhabi, has a closure and diversion from midnight on 31 October until 5am on 30 January 2027, with limits cut to 140km/h and 120km/h on affected sections.

Drivers heading to Downtown, Business Bay or Sheikh Zayed Road on 1 November should allow extra time and check Salik rates. The Metro is an alternative. For stays nearby, see Downtown Dubai rentals.
