British Airways resumes daily flights from London Heathrow to Dubai on 3 November, Gulf News reported. Other European carriers are due back on 25 November and 12 December, while cancellations continue on routes to Saudi Arabia.

Lufthansa, SWISS and Eurowings are scheduled to return on 25 November. Lufthansa plans to restart services from both Frankfurt and Munich, five a week from each city. SWISS plans a daily service from Zurich, and Eurowings a daily service from Berlin. Austrian Airlines is due to restart its Vienna route on 12 December, operating five times a week.

Philippine Airlines returned to Dubai International on 21 October and joins Cebu Pacific on the Manila route. Each airline operates four weekly flights. Air Astana and Aegean Airlines have also restored their Dubai services. Gulf News says seat capacity at UAE airports reached 7.2 million in October, a rise of 23 per cent on June.

Suspensions and cancellations

Several airlines have extended their Dubai suspensions:

  • Singapore Airlines: until 28 February 2027
  • Cathay Pacific: until 31 January 2027
  • Air Canada: until the end of March 2027
  • KLM: until 27 March 2027
  • ITA Airways: until 30 November
  • Luxair: return postponed to February 2027 at the earliest
  • Finnair: suspended for the 2026/27 winter season
  • Korean Air: suspended with no end date given
  • Virgin Atlantic: no return planned before 2027

Etihad has called off every flight linking Abu Dhabi with Dammam and Riyadh through 5 November, plus Jeddah flights EY601 to EY604. Emirates has cancelled several Dubai flights to Dammam and Riyadh, and its Jeddah schedule mixes cancelled and scheduled services. Services run by Iranian carriers between Iran and the UAE remain suspended until further notice. Tel Aviv flights sold under the Emirates and flydubai partnership are also on hold.

Travellers should confirm the status of their flight with the airline before heading to the airport, as schedules can change. Affected passengers can ask their airline about rebooking and refunds.

Gulf News also reports that from November, visitors can apply on the Visit Dubai website for visas valid for either one entry or several, with GDRFA handling the applications.
